Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how RecruitSpecs collects, uses, discloses, and retains information during its invitation-only beta.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, profile image, and account identifier received through Google authentication.
• Athlete profile information: athlete name, graduation year, position, hometown, profile photo, recruiting-profile links, NCAA Eligibility Center ID, favorites, and target schools.
• Beta access information: invite-code status, access dates, request email, athlete name, graduation year, and selected positions.
• Technical information: security, diagnostic, device, browser, and usage information produced when the service is accessed.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize the recruiting board, authenticate users, administer beta access, save profiles and school selections, respond to requests, protect the service, troubleshoot problems, understand beta conversion and product usage, and improve RecruitSpecs.

3. How information is disclosed

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, authentication, databases, storage, maps or location features, security, and email delivery. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards. RecruitSpecs does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Public and third-party information

The opportunity board may organize information from school websites, recruiting services, social profiles, and other public sources. Links to third-party sites are governed by those sites’ privacy practices. Athlete profiles stored in RecruitSpecs are private to the authenticated account unless a sharing feature is expressly introduced and enabled.

5. Retention and security

We retain information while an account or beta request remains active and as reasonably needed for operations, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and service improvement. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices

You may update most athlete-profile information in the service. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing privacy@recruitspecs.com. We may need to verify the requester’s identity and authority over an athlete’s information.

7. Children and teen athletes

RecruitSpecs is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Users must be at least 13. A parent or legal guardian must authorize use by a minor who has not reached the age of legal majority. If you believe information from a child under 13 has been collected, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted.

8. State privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain disclosures of personal information. RecruitSpecs will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the beta changes. Material updates will be communicated through the service or the email associated with an account, and the effective date above will be revised.
